Marrakech

On Sunday morning we visited the Tanneries, and by way of contrast, the Majorelle Gardens. Also the El Badi Palace.

In the afternoon we walked through the souks to the Ben Youssef Medersa.

Where Kathleen kindly posed in the doorway of a restored study room.

Djemaa al Fna

Finally we went to the terrace of the Cafe Glacier to watch the bustle in the Djemma al Fna below us.

Amongst other things, a good place to watch various forms of transport!

The Ourika Valley

Before we even got installed in our hotel we went up to Stti Fadma.

Here we have walked on to the village of Agadir n Ait Boulmane.

There is a big path which zig-zags up from the village.

But we used a smaller path on the hillside which went to the same place.

After which we went some distance along the valley before returning. Finally we got ourselves installed in the hotel at Aghbalou.

Plateau Kik

The following day we drove to Asni and ascended to the plateau from the Atlas Minereaux stall.

We walked to the west to pass through the village of Tizi Wadou which perches on the edge of the plateau.

Then we set off NW across the plateau.

When we hit the main track, we then headed East to end at Moulay Brahim.

For me this was the first time I had seen it with crops growing.

If you like, you can see the desolation of September or the New Year ploughing.
