During our transfer day we had lunch near the "film set" village of Ait Ben Haddou.
(This view is entirely spoilt by the scruffy individual intruding in the picture)
At Ouirgane our hotel was attractively situated.
Breakfasts on the terrace were particularly good.
The desolation of the Kik Plateau during the dry season were a contrast to our pretty hotel gardens.
The villages at the plateau edge were less barren.
There is a convenient walk up the valley from the hotel. This is the view looking back.
The path might be classed as a "mule motorway".
It gave easy walking up the valley.
Even easier coming down!
Here we are wandering through the souk with Haj M'barak.
The Dyers area of the souk is the best for photos.
Although the whole area is photogenic.
From Marrakech we went by bus to walk in the valley above Setti Fadma.
The trail is surrounded by spectacular mountain views.
There are some sheltered spots of cultivation where one may eat lunch.
At the highest point we went, there is a small village. Other villages are visible higher in the valley.
This is getting near Abdul's home ground. He was obviously enjoying talking to the kids and giving them biscuits.
Our final day, in Marrakech, was varied.
From visiting an elegant museum.....
.....with a quiet courtyard looking out on the bustle of Marrakech backstreets....
.....via the Koranic Schools....
.....to visiting a medieval tannery!

Aziz, our skilled and careful driver.
Maria, whose tour company keeps it all running.
